The Department of Communication Research and the College of Mass Communication of the University of the Philippines are deeply saddened by the passing away of Professor Florinda de Fiesta-Mateo, Ph.D. on Saturday 18 April 2015 after a lingering illness. She is survived by her husband, Dr. Ricardo J. Mateo Jr. and two daughters Felicia Margarita and Alyssa.  
 

 

DZUP 1602 Stops Over Kalayaan Residence Hall
Diliman, Quezon City -April 21, 2015-

DZUP 1602 goes to the Kalayaan Residence Hall through Kalayaan KASALI KAravan.  DZUP will be having an off-site broadcast of its programs, UP Nating Mahal and Tropang Rad’yo, at the Kalayaan dorm from six to eight in the evening on April 21.

The UP Department of Journalism is inviting everyone to the Philippine Journalism Research Conference 2015. Co-organized with the University of Sto. Tomas (UST), Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP), and Asian Institute of Journalism and Communication (AIJC), this year's research conference expanded the categories to reflect the changing practices and structures of news making in the context of the digitization of media.
